SUMMARY

The Senior Credit Analyst will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts, (Mid-sized and large Domestic Customers) investigating and analyzing creditworthiness, as well as managing the day-to-day credit programs and processes. This position will serve as the backup for Credit Manager and, as a member of the Credit Team, the analyst will be responsible for reviewing orders, resolving outstanding issues, and maintaining collections on a portfolio of accounts, as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Manage a portfolio of accounts as assigned, including reviewing orders, resolving outstanding deductions or disputes, setting up new customers, and performing risk analysis to support credit line decisions.
• Review and proactively collect on accounts daily, communicate with customers on account status, as well as maintain notes in customer account master card.
• Perform customer financial analysis to recommend and establish credit lines and take appropriate action to ensure that accounts remain within the assigned credit limits. Ability to assess and mitigate financial risk is crucial.
• Analyze data, trends, drivers, and cause in customer payment behavior. Partner with other internal functions to create appropriate action plans to resolve disputes and/or issues.
• Assist and provide backup to Credit Manager, when needed.
• Perform all other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required from an accredited university. Minimum of three years of experience in Credit and collections. Ability to apply accounting principles in the analysis of financial statements

  Preferred Qualification: CCE or other credit certification.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Oracle Manufacturing software, Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook, and Performance Management software.
