    Shift: Second and Third – Full -Time and Part-Time available

    Compensation: $14-17/hour

    Reports to: Metal Prep/Finish Supervisor

    Direct Reports: N/A

    Department: Metal Prep-Finish (474300)

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)

    Position Summary: Responsible for preparing service bodies for wash and paint by

    scraping, grinding, and applying caulk to various types of bodies.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Scrape welded bodies using hand tool
    • Grind welded bodies using pneumatic tool
    • Apply caulk to body seams on welded bodies by using mechanical and manual
    • caulk gun
    • Responsible for quality of product
    • Required to use an array of air tools, hand tools, tape measure, and caulk gun
    • Perform all Safety and Housekeeping duties
    • Other duties as requested, directed or assigned by the Supervisor
    • Requirements:
    • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required as well as ability to read, write,
    • and speak English in order to understand written and verbal instructions and
    • document completion of work
    • Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting professional behavior
    • Decision making capabilities – ability to make decisions and solve problems
    • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all company personnel,
    • vendors and customers
    • Previous manufacturing experience preferred

    Definitions:           C – Constantly (> 66% of the time)

    F – Frequently (34-65% of the time)

    O – Occasionally (< 33% of the time)

    Work Environment: This position operates in a plant environment of noise, dust,

    odors, and fumes. Possible exposure to any number of elements, but none present to

    the extent of being disagreeable. Excessive heat in the summer time.

    Physical Demands: This is a full-time position. Must be willing to work overtime as

    scheduled and required.
