Employment Type: Temp to Hire after 720 hours worked

Pay Rate: Starting at $16.80/hr

Shifts: All shifts Available

General Description:

An assembler welds or sets up for the assembly of parts. The Assembler may also be required to repair defective parts and/or operate a forklift. The Assembler reports to the Assembly Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Support and follow the Company Safety Programs.
• Support and follow quality & environmental programs.
• General assembly.
• Placing parts in racks.
• Quality control.
• Tagging parts.
• Repair defects in production parts, e.g., pimples, buckles, lows, bad hems, etc.
• Operating and electric or gas forklift as assigned.
• Loading and unloading trailers and railcars as assigned.
• Perform all other work as deemed necessary by supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to make repeated hand, arm and shoulder motions.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Gerstenslager Forklift Operator’s license if required.

Equipment Used:

Spot welding guns, mig welders, hand tools, protective gloves, arm guards, earplugs, and staftey glasses. Electric or gas forklift if required.
