    JOB SUMMARY

    The Adult Daycare Director is responsible for maintaining a profile for each individual client. He/she is also responsible for reaching out to potential clients via phone and/or mail; keeping in contact with case managers of consumers; and ensuring all things, including employees, paperwork and building codes are correct in accordance with all State, Federal and Gilcrest Center rules.

    Adult Daycare Director Assigned Tasks

     

    The Adult Daycare Director is responsible for the following secretarial duties:

    • Handling all questions, complaints, and concerns from consumers and/or their caregivers and/or case managers
    • Answering the phone and returning or forwarding messages when necessary
    • Sending, checking, and responding to emails when necessary
    • Filing paperwork into the respective places
    • Ensure there are sufficient copies of all necessary forms

     

    The Adult Daycare Director is responsible for maintaining a consumer profile that adheres to any State, Federal and Gilcrest Center rules, including:

    • Name, address, and phone number of consumers
    • Insurance information and any pertinent information needed for billing
    • Any specials requirements/needs they may have (i.e. wheelchair, walker, missing limbs, blindness, deafness, etc.)
    • Case manager name, if applicable
    • Emergency contact information
    • Any medications and medical history
    • Days the consumer will be attending and if they will need transported, including pick-up and drop off times

     

    The Adult Daycare Director will need to keep in contact with consumers’ case managers about updates in a consumer’s profile- including personal and billing information- and if a consumer is absent from daycare on a normally schedule day.

    • Oversee that all attendance book online, Attendance forms, Shower Logs, and Meal Count Sheets must be up-to-date and given to the Aides for record keeping. These records will be collected weekly.
    • Daycare Director is required to conduct all ADS staff in services, secondary interviews with Human Resources, and employee violation warning meetings with Human Resources.
    • The Adult Daycare Director will have weekly meetings with the Administrator, Aides, Cook, and RN to discuss:
      • New consumers
      • Updates on regular consumers that have been hospitalized, ill for a long period of time or put in a nursing home
      • Any updates in rules or regulations that may pertain to their jobs –including any rules for job qualifications or consumer information
      • Discuss upcoming activities- including parties, crafts, or field trips. If there are any purchase requests, they will be tracked on an Inventory Request Form and turned in to the proper authority
      • Discuss activities, field trips or crafts for future months, including anything the consumers may mention

     

    The Adult Daycare Director is responsible for keeping up with all State and Federal mandated rules/regulations for inspections and ensuring everything that is needed is up-to-code for those inspections. These inspections include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Passport 10A & Passport 10B
    • Filing paperwork into the respective places
    • Ensure there are sufficient copies of all necessary forms

    Mental Demands:

    Keeping record of and being responsible for many things at one time can be stressful. The Adult Daycare Director will be working in a busy environment. There may be a number of situations happening at once, so it is important to keep a calm and respective attitude towards fellow employees, clients, and consumers.
