Seaman Corporation is seeking a Sr Product Manager, Produced Goods–FiberTite® Roofing Systems to join our Commercial team! This position will report to the Strategic Market Manager in Wooster.

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Acts as product champion/steward for FiberTite product line. Provides overall leadership for the produced product line as it relates to product line performance and development, including, but not limited to profitability, volumes, growth rates, systemic quality concerns, marketing initiatives, specifications, new products/systems, new applications, and pricing policies.  Prioritize initiatives in a manner consistent with the strategic direction of the company and the FiberTite business.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Providing daily in-house/product leadership for FiberTite roofing systems product line.  This applies in a matrix structure with sales, tech service, and CARE org. Responsible for managing and strategically segmenting the FiberTite product portfolio and defining a product roadmap for all FiberTite membranes.
  • Monitoring and communicating product performance (profitability, volume, growth), and implementing strategy and policy modifications as required.
  • Utilizing strategic analysis of the FiberTite product line to improve market share in relation to price, product, promotion, and place.
  • Working with technical support, obtains and maintains appropriate code/reg approval for FiberTite products on national and international levels as required, and summarizes into tools for use by sales and field technical service.
  • Building and maintaining a competitive product database and/or line FTR database.
  • Analyzing and serving as the subject matter expert on competitive roofing systems (technical performance and market positioning).
  • Supporting new product/application initiatives from idea generation to opportunity analysis, product design, trials, evaluations, and commercialization. Collaborating closely with the Sales, Technical, New Business Development, Innovation & Technology, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Working closely with Marketing to publish and present FTR PR materials in industry publications, at industry associations, and for sales presentations.
  • Serving as a FiberTite Representative at SPRI.
  • Establishing list price schedules for all products as related to their market value and working with the VP/GM FiberTite to modify as needed.
  • Working with the Supply Chain/Procurement Manager to establish product MTO & MTS policies and establishing/monitoring inventory performance for MTS products.
  • Monitoring product complaints, and working with manufacturing and/or vendors to resolve.

 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) with 7+ years of related experience; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
