Seaman Corporation is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join our Information Technology team! This position will report to James Ciraldo, Salesforce Manager in Wooster, OH.

POSITION SUMMARY: As the Salesforce Developer, you will contribute to our team by working on the ongoing development of our Salesforce platform. The successful candidate will be skilled in programming enterprise solutions and be able to provide superior client facing service and support. You will work closely with the Salesforce team, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes. This position will report directly to the Salesforce Manager. The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for executing on the day-to-day support, maintenance, and improvement of our platform.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Test, evaluate, and complete development requests at the direction of the Salesforce Manager.
• Review and refactor legacy code to reduce technical debt, improve system performance, and align with best practices.
• Follow best practices on when to use declarative tools versus custom code for solutions.
• Develop Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and other custom code solutions meeting business requirements.
• Participate in meetings with stakeholders as a technical resource to communicate platform capabilities and limitations.
• Proactively engage in continuous improvement efforts for custom code applications.
• Strive towards coding best practices supporting data quality, security, and integrity.
• Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved within a timely manner.
• Maintain technical documentation related to project design and implementation.
• Follow deployment standards and procedures as set by the Salesforce Manager.
• Make recommendations for enhancements and modifications to improve system performance and user experience.
• Provide administrative assistance as needed with user training, reports and dashboards, and general inquiries.
