Seaman Corporation is seeking a Product Manager – Geo/Military to join our Commercial team! This position will report to the Sr. Product/Market Manager – Geo/Military.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Product Manager – Geo/Military plays a key role in driving the growth and success of specialized product lines within Seaman Corporation. This position combines strategic oversight with cross-functional collaboration, ensuring product offerings are competitive, profitable, and aligned with market needs. The individual will focus on managing the product lifecycle, from development to positioning, while working closely with sales, marketing, and operational teams. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of customer and market dynamics, and the ability to influence decision-making across various departments to achieve business objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage a portfolio of products supporting Geomembrane & Military segments in Industrial Fabrics.
- Set product price, monitor product margins.
- Monitor product performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize product portfolio, profitability, and market share.
- Assist Commercial organization on opportunity management with valuable competitive products, pricing, and margin analysis.
- Perform VOC (voice of customer) and VOS (voice of sales) research on a regular basis.
- Perform regular competitor research.
- Help develop new products and product positioning informed by VOC and VOS data, as well as internal data, market research, and competitor data.
- Develop sales training materials, lead/organize sales team training.
- Work with SME’s to plan and develop key content needed to promote products (including case studies, peer-reviewed content, white papers).
- Ensure product marketing content is accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and Supply Chain to manage asset and operational decisions in support of the product line.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of related experience; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
