Day Shift: 10a to 6:30p, Monday to Friday

 

Wooster Motor Ways is currently seeking a dedicated, hardworking individual to join our team as a General Laborer for our Maintenance Garage. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a focus on increasing efficiency and accountability within their job duties. It is equally important that they be willing and able to learn new skills and knowledge within the Maintenance Garage.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning the shop
  • Scrap and trash removal
  • Helping with outside part sales
  • Transports tools and supplies from storage area to work area and returns them after use.
  • Assist with running parts, as directed by the mechanics
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

 

Job Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Detail-oriented and thorough
  • Ability to handle materials, tools, and equipment in a responsible manner
  • Ability to interact with team and customers in a professional, and appropriate, manner

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must pass a background check
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body. This will include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, carrying, and stooping
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 60 pounds
  • Must be able to endure prolonged periods of standing
  • Able to work in a team and produce quality work under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Initiative and strong analytical skills
  • Diligence, prioritization skill, and time management
  • Adaptive learner with a positive attitude
