Seaman Corporation is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Finance/Accounting team! This position will report to the Director of Finance in Wooster. 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Financial planning and analysis to support operational, financial and strategic decision-making.  Position requires strong accounting, business acumen, analytics and spreadsheet skills.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Distributes daily sales and order information to various stakeholders.
  • Monitors and tracks revenue related to progress of construction contracts.
  • Supports monthly financial close and reporting process including detailed financial analysis to ensure accuracy of information reported to management.
  • Analyzes current sales and customer trends, volume, pricing and margins. Monitors customer rebate programs.
  • Supports annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term strategic sales planning processes related to sales, volume and margin targets.

 

 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting or Finance with 5-10 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

CPA or CMA preferred.
