Position: Activity Assistant                                                     Department: Activities

Hours: five 8 hour shifts (40 hours)

Days: vary (does include weekend rotation)

The Wayne County Care Center is currently accepting applications for the position of full time Activity Assistant for the County’s 50 bed skilled/ intermediate care nursing facility.

Responsibilities of the Activity Assistant:

• Create, organize, implement meaningful social and recreational activities to engage residents
• Provide daily. Weekly, and monthly events that meet the interests of each resident
• Provide activities that stimulate the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident
• Ensure charting and all documentation is completed in accordance with current regulations
• Communicate with all departments about activities to ensure residents are provided with the best experience in order to provide quality service
• Must participate in facility inspections, as needed and perform administrative duties
