Job Details

Shift/Work days: 1st shift – Monday through Friday

 

Function: To provide placement assistance at the OMJ Lab at Wayne County Department of Job and Family Services.

 

Essential Functions:

  1. Job development for clients referred for placement services.
  2. Instructs workshops and deploys online training as required/needed.
  3. Conducts mock interviews as requested.
  4. Maintains good working relationships with clients, goodwill staff, OMJ staff and WCDJFS workers.
  5. Navigates and assists clients regarding an OhioMeansJobs account.
  6. Instructs clients on job seeking skills and resume preparation.
  7. Records and submits timely reports to Mission Services Director.
  8. Functions as backup driver for Goodwill programs (as needed).

Positions Supervised: None

 

Education: College degree in related human service field or high school diploma or related work experience can replace degree

 

Certification: CPR/First Aid

 

Other Requirements:

License check – valid drivers license and proof of insurability or is able to provide transportation.

Background checks – the offer of employment will be based on the outcome of the background check.

Drug and alcohol screen – Must pass a drug and alcohol screen prior to employment. Subject to random testing.

 

Required Training: Customer service, harassment, diversity, orientation, drug and alcohol, hazardous material, loss prevention, workplace violence, and crisis intervention.
