Shift: ROTATING — WILL SUPPORT ALL 3 SHIFTS AS REQUIRED

 

General Description: The Tool and Die Maker is to craft dies and metal tools. They will be required to interpret design schematics, cut and shape dies, and assemble completed parts. The Tool and Die Maker will be responsible for testing the performance of the completed product. The Tool and Die Maker should have in-depth knowledge of metalwork and engineering, a good eye for detail, and the ability to visualize structural components. They should be able to translate ideas into expertly crafted metal forms ready for the manufacturing process. The Tool and Die Maker will report to the Tool and Die Supervisor. This position will support all three shifts.

 

Candidates must be flexible and willing to move between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts as needed.

 

Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of robotic assembly or hydraulic presses. (Preferred)
  • Previous automotive manufacturing experience. (Preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position.
  • Strong production/manufacturing background.
  • Computer/System skills including Word, Excel, ERP, etc.
  • Effective leadership, organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills & the ability to read and interpret part inspection plans, schematics and workflow charts.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive stamping (Preferred)

 

Job Location: Production Floor.

 

Equipment Used: Computer with appropriate software, general office equipment, and personal safety equipment.
