Seaman Corporation is seeking a Corporate Communications Coordinator to join our Human Resources team! This position will report to the Corporate Communications Manager in Wooster, OH.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Corporate Communications Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining a strong organizational culture and enhancing the company’s presence within the community. This position supports initiatives that engage associates and external partners, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and values. Responsibilities include managing logistics for corporate events and facility visits, coordinating internal and external engagement programs, and assisting with communication projects that foster connection and collaboration
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Plan and execute engagement activities such as corporate events, internal town halls, facility visits and tours, and community partnership programs.
- Assist with communication projects, including photo and video shoots, timelines, and support for change management or crisis communications.
- Support associate engagement initiatives through surveys, sentiment monitoring, and coordination of recruitment and co-op programs.
- Monitor and adhere to communication calendars, track deadlines, and compile engagement metrics and reports.
- Manage administrative tasks, including vendor coordination, purchase orders, and budget tracking.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in event coordination, communications, or employee engagement programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to build and maintain positive interpersonal relationships across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
- Strong organizational and planning skills for events and communication initiatives. • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint).
- Basic knowledge of content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and photo/video production support.
- Analytical skills for tracking engagement metrics and preparing reports.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with internal communication platforms, project management software, or intranet management.
- Familiarity with social media and external communication best practices.
- Knowledge of branding and corporate identity standards
