POSITION SUMMARY: The Case Packer/Skidder position will be responsible for the packing and skidding on the pack lines. The Case Packer/Skidder will also be required to rotate to other pack lines to cover breaks, lunches, vacations or call offs. These positions rotate throughout the pack side from packing positions and skidding. Employees will also be required to rotate to the clean side (cold area) for hand packing duties. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Skidding, inspection and check metal detector on packaging
  • Can properly start and stop the case packer and case sealer
  • Packing of products and cleaning of the equipment
  • Complete audits and paperwork
  • Safely and knowledgeably operating metal detectors, tape machines, and scales
  • Quality checks to assure product is packaged according to the production sheet (label/expiration date/code).
  • Complies with GMP, food safety, and safety standards at all times
  • Follow all SFC Core Values and be a team player
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Metal Detection Certified
  • Knowledge of proper packing procedures
  • Knowledge of Food Safety preferred
  • Able to work in a cold/wet environment
  • Good communications and basic computer skills

  • Employees will be required to walk, kneel, sit and stand long periods of time up to 8-12 hours at a time.

  • Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as cold temperatures and/or loud noises.
  • May frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

 

Wage:  $15.04 - $17.38/ hour

$1,000 Sign-On Bonus • Attendance Bonus • Scheduled Rate Increases in January 2026

Details:  Monday through Friday, 5am, 6am or 8am start time 10-hour shifts and end times fluctuate. Saturday/Sunday OT can be voluntary, or mandatory based on department/ production needs
